20th National Para-Athletics Championships-2022
Sub: 20th NATIONAL PARA-ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS, ODISHA
We are pleased to inform you that the 20th National Para-Athletics Championships-2021 has been scheduled to be held at Bhubaneshwar Odisha from 28th to 31st March 2022. All the participants are advised to go through this circular carefully and ensure that they have MQS as per eligibility before sending their entry forms. Participation certificate will not be issued to athletes who have not achieved their MQS as prescribed. All are advised to strictly follow the code of conduct laid down on account of the Corona situation
and its guidlines. All the expenses involved including traveling, lodging & boarding, local conveyance, fees, etc. shall be borne by the participants. Any amendment for providing these facilities I services if any shall be notified separately by 17.03.2022 The details about the Championship are as under:
1. Host: Para Sports Association of Odisha (under the aegis of Paralympic Committee of India)
2. Arrival of the Teams/Para Athletes: 27th March 2022.
3. Departure of the Teams / Para Athletes: Within 24 hours of the completion of the individual event/team events, but not later than 31st March 2022
4. Competition: 28th to 31st March 2022.

5. Classification:
a) Only New Classification process will be conducted during the 20th National Para Athletics Championships: 2021-2022 with limited slots on first come first basis
b) Classified Para Athletes will be allowed to participate, Athletes who participated in the nationals held in 2018 & 2020-21 classification is not necessary.
c) If there are less than 5 athletes in ‘Single Sports Class’, the concerned Event will be combined in Lower/Upper Sports Class.
d) For combined events, the result will be declared by RAZZA Point System.
7. Registration of Athletes: As per the current policy of PCI, it is mandatory for every athlete to have National license/ID card for their participation. All Participates including Escorts and Coaches should register by depositing Rs.1000/- to the Paralympic Committee of India’s Bank Account (Details as under):

8. Entry: All participants are advised to send their entry to us along with required documents in a single folder (JPG file) and also send a hard copy of the documents to the PCI office Bangalore,
Address: Paralympic Committee of India, Gate No. 12, Room No. 28, Sree Kanteerava Stadium, Kasturba Road, Bangalore - 560 001 latest by 15th March 2022. Entries received after this date, will not be considered.
a) Athletes who meet the Entry Standard in the State Para-Athletics Championships, as fixed by PCI (Copy enclosed) are eligible to participate.
b) Maximum of two entries in each event in single class events and three entries in each event in combined class events. No reserve entry will be permitted.
c) Only National & International classified Confirm/Review athletes will be allowed to participate in the ‘Same Class’ in 20th National Para- Athletics Championships: 2021- 2022.
d) All the entries are to be routed through their state boards only. Any individual athlete’s entry will not be accepted.
e) Athletes who have participated at the previous National Championships are eligible.
f) Athletes who have participated at the previous IBSA National Championships and International Championships are also eligible.
g) Athletes who have participated at the SIVAS India National Championships are also eligible.
h) An Athlete can participate in a maximum of three individual events.
i) This event will also be a selection platform for the forth coming International Championship 2022.
9. Failure to Participate: If an athlete fails to participate in the first event after sending/confirming the entry without any valid reason, he/she then may not be allowed to participate in any of the remaining events entered.
10. Transport: Athletes I Team Officials I Escorts will have to make their arrangements, at their own cost for local and domestic transport.
11. Accommodation & Food: Athletes / Team Officials I Escorts will have to make their arrangements for Accommodation and Food, at their own cost.
12. Opening & Closing Ceremony: -No Opening & Closing Ceremony will be conducted in the 20th National Para-Athletics Championships due to Corona Pandemic.
13. Anti-Doping: - Dope Samples will be collected by the officials of the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA), as per the option of NADA
14. Call Room: All Participating Para Athletes are required to report at Call Room, One Hour before the Scheduled Time of the Event. Any athlete reporting directly at the Competition Area will not be allowed to participate.
15. Medal Ceremony: No Medal Ceremony will be conducted due to SOP Guidelines issued by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India. However, Medals shall be handed over to the winners by the organizers within the Championships.
16. Participation Certificates: Participation Certificates will be issued during the Competition. Participation Certificates will be issued only to those athletes who will achieve the Minimum Qualification Standards laid down by the PCI. The time for distributions of certificates will be notified during the competition. States will have to nominate two authorized persons along with the team list who will interact with the organizers to collect their respective ‘Participation Certificates’ by submitting the BIB Number and other documents. Also please provide their contact details of the two authorized persons.
17. Equipment: lAAF/IPC/PCI-approved equipment will only be used during the Championships.
18. Rules: 20th National Para Athletics Championships: 2021-2022 shall be conducted following the current IPC Rules/guidelines. The decision of the Referee/Judges shall be final and binding for all the Para Athletes.
19. Strictly follow the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) & Guidelines issued by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India for Organizing Sports Competition in the Country in a COVID-19 Situation. The wearing of Mask by each Para Athletes/Team Official and also maintaining the sufficient Physical Distance will be Compulsory failing which a strict disciplinary action shall be taken including Disqualification from the Competition. /
